Every website starts with a conversation and ends with a site built specifically for your business. Here's what the process looks like from start to finish.
A free, no-obligation call to talk through your business, what you need the site to do and who it needs to reach. There's nothing to prepare — it's a conversation, not a pitch. By the end, you'll have a clear idea of what's involved and I'll have what I need to scope the project properly.
Before any design work starts, I map out the structure — what pages you need, what goes on each one, and how visitors move through the site towards getting in touch. This is where we agree the shape of the project, so nothing comes as a surprise later.
The visual design is built around your business rather than adapted from a template. You'll see the design before development begins, with room to give feedback and make changes while things are still easy to adjust.
Once the design is agreed, the site is custom-built page by page. This covers the technical setup too — mobile responsiveness, on-page SEO, contact forms and any integrations your site needs.
Before going live, the site is tested across devices and browsers, then submitted for indexing so search engines can find it. Hosting is configured as part of the build. Domains are usually registered and owned by you — if you'd rather not handle that side yourself, I can walk you through it, or we can discuss the options at your discovery call.
After launch, Business, Premium and High-End sites can be kept with me on a Care Plan covering updates and changes, or handed over to your own account. One-Page sites are supported on an ad-hoc basis. We'll agree which suits you before launch.
Timescales depend on the size of the site, how quickly content and feedback come through, and what's involved technically. We'll agree realistic timings at your discovery call, once I understand the scope.
